How to mine HEX on Linux (with Pool)

Mining HEX is not that difficult.

You just need to follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you have a valid HexCoin address (where you will get payed)
  2. Download the latest version of cpuminer from here and extract the zip file.
  3. Open a Terminal and go into the extracted cpuminer folder.
  4. Now use
    ./minerd --url=stratum+tcp://pool.hexco.in:3032 --userpass=YOUR_HEXCOIN_ADDRESS:x

to start mining on Port 3032. Make sure Port 3032 is okay for you. Please make sure to provide a password after your HexCoin Wallet Address. (This password is not used and can be anything.)

Blockchain stucks at No. 3206

I have to notice that we have problems generating a new block. The last Hashpower was about 45 MH/s, but currently there are not enough miners to find a new block.

I remember: Finding a new block will generate you 50 HEX. So try to find one 😉
